Who we are

TrackingForGains (the "App") is owned and operated by Cooking for Gains, LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("TrackingForGains," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the TrackingForGains mobile app, our website at trackingforgains.com, and related services (together, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

Information you provide

We collect the information you give us when you set up your account and use TrackingForGains:

• Account & profile. Your name, email address, and login credentials, plus a profile photo if you choose to add one.
• Body & goals. Age, gender, height, weight, activity level, and the goals you set. We use these to estimate your daily energy needs (TDEE) and to calculate your macro targets — which you can also adjust manually.
• Food & activity logs. The foods, drinks, recipes, and meals you log; barcode scans; custom foods you create; your meal plans; and any fasting periods you track.
• Progress data. Weight entries, weekly check-in responses, your adherence score, and any progress photos you choose to upload.
• Community content. Posts and messages you share in group forums, and the creators or other members you follow.
• Communications. Information you provide when you contact support, leave feedback, or report content.

Some of this is optional. You can use core tracking features without uploading a progress photo, for example.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, we and our service providers automatically collect limited technical information, such as your device type and operating system, app version, general location inferred from your IP address (not precise GPS), and basic usage and diagnostic data — for example, which features you open and crash reports that help us fix bugs.

We use standard analytics and crash-reporting tools for these purposes. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles about you.

Health & nutrition data

Some of the information you log — your dietary intake, body measurements, weight history, and progress photos — may be considered sensitive personal information because it can reveal details about your health. We treat this information with extra care.

We collect and use your health and nutrition data only to provide the Services to you: to calculate and track your macros, build your meal plans, show your progress, and power your check-ins and adherence score. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including your account, logging, meal plans, check-ins, and adherence score;
• Calculate your macro and calorie targets and show your progress over time, including monthly summary recaps;
• Power community features such as group forums and the creator content feed;
• Process your subscription and any Shop activity;
• Respond to your questions, provide support, and act on content reports;
• Keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
• Improve the Services and develop new features; and
• Comply with our legal obligations.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited situations:

• Service providers. Companies that help us run TrackingForGains — such as hosting, app-subscription management, analytics, crash reporting, and customer support — process information on our behalf under contracts that limit how they can use it.
• Other users (community features). Information you post publicly or share in group forums, and certain profile details and your adherence score, may be visible to other members. See the next section.
• Shop sellers. When you buy from the Shop, the relevant seller and its payment processor receive the information needed to complete and ship your order.
• Legal & safety. We may share information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect the rights, property, and safety of our users or others, or to enforce our Terms.
• Business transfers. If TrackingForGains is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Community & public features

TrackingForGains includes social features, and it's important you understand what others can see:

• Group forums. Forums are organized by group (for example, separate spaces for men and women, based on the gender on your profile). Anything you post in a forum can be seen by other members of that group. Photos are not permitted in forum chat.
• Adherence score. Your adherence score reflects how consistently you log and complete check-ins. This score may be visible to members who follow you. If you don't want others to see your activity, you can limit who follows you or avoid using the social features.
• Automated moderation. To keep the community safe, forum messages pass through an automated filter that flags abusive or derogatory language. You can also block other members and report content to us.

Please don't post anything in community spaces that you wouldn't want other members to see.

The TrackingForGains Shop

The Shop features physical products — like cookware, cookbooks, and accessories — sold by independent third-party sellers, not by TrackingForGains. When you make a purchase, checkout is handled through a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe), and the seller receives the details needed to fulfill and ship your order.

We don't store your full payment card number. The seller's and the payment processor's own privacy practices apply to those transactions. We act as a platform connecting you to those sellers — see our Terms & Conditions for details.

Payments & subscriptions

TrackingForGains subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store (and the Google Play Store when available), not by us directly. Those platforms handle your payment details under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and limited transaction information needed to give you access, but we do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Advertising & data sales

TrackingForGains does not show third-party advertising, and we do not sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't build advertising profiles from your health and nutrition data. If this ever changes, we'll update this policy and give you clear notice and choices beforehand.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. If you delete your account, we'll delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep certain records to comply with the law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. You can request deletion at any time — see Your privacy rights.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to keep our practices current.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to:

• Access the information we hold about you and request a copy;
• Correct inaccurate information;
• Delete your information;
• Opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or targeted advertising (note: we don't sell or share your data for these purposes); and
• Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

California, and other U.S. states (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and others) provide residents these and similar rights, including the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. Because we use your health and nutrition data only to provide the Services and never for advertising or sale, we already apply that limit by default.

To exercise any right, email us at [email protected]. We'll verify your request and respond as required by law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

Children's privacy

TrackingForGains is intended for users 13 and older. Users between 13 and 17 may use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we've collected information from a child under 13, we'll take steps to delete it and close the account. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App or by email. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
